Drought support

The $146.5 million Drought Support Package includes a range of support for farmers and communities affected by drought. Some programs have now closed, while other support remains available.

Statewide drought programs include:

• Drought support events (see the main events page for listings)
• Look Over the Farm Gate community events (to be delivered by 31 December 2026)
• Household Financial Relief (for south west Victoria)
• Farm Drought Support Grants (now closed)
• Farm Advisory Service (now closed)

Applications for Farm Drought Support Grants and Farm Advisory Service closed on 30 September 2026.

In addition, the Farm Business Resilience Program and the Regional Drought Resilience Program through to 2029 will support farmers and communities to prepare for future drought conditions.
